Recently, I asked potential buyers of Real Estate in Sarasota to take a poll and discovered in the process, that most people feel, even in this recession, that real estate is and always will be, a good investment if you look at it in the longer term.
Not surprisingly, 45% of those who responded, felt that both Stocks/Mutual Funds were a good investment and 49% preferred Real estate as the BEST long term investment. 34% of repondents thought Real Estate Values could possibly rise in the next 2 years, 64% thought so in the next 5 years and in the next 10 years, 69% felt that real estate values would definitely rise. Most respondents, 75% of them, have invested in real estate in the past and 63% have considered it. Seventy-three (73%) percent said that they made money with their real estate investments.
